Dear Seniors and Parents/Guardians,

We hope you are having a terrific summer and look forward to welcoming everyone back to Norwalk High School on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

As construction on the Norwalk High School campus continues, our administrative team has been working closely with the City of Norwalk, the Department of Public Works, and Norwalk Public Schools Central Office Operations to improve our parking and safety procedures. Our goal is to provide a safe, efficient, and orderly arrival process for all students and staff.

Due to the ongoing construction project, student parking will not be permitted on the Norwalk High School campus during the 2026–2027 school year. To provide an alternative, we have expanded our partnership with the City of Norwalk and made improvements to the Andrews Field parking lot, which will serve as the designated student parking location.

Andrews Field Parking Privileges

Parking at Andrews Field will be available exclusively to members of the Class of 2027 (Seniors). Spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis until all available spots have been filled. Each approved student will receive an assigned, numbered parking space for the duration of the school year.

Please note:

  • Students who held a parking permit during the 2025–2026 school year must re-register for the 2026–2027 school year.
  • A parent/guardian or the student must complete the registration process in person at Norwalk High School.

Parking Registration Dates

Mr. Migliaro from our Security Team will be available in the Main Lobby of Norwalk High School to process parking registrations on the following dates from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.:

  • Monday, August 10 – Thursday, August 13
  • Monday, August 17 – Thursday, August 20

Required Registration Materials

To receive a parking permit, students must bring the following:

  1. Completed Parking Registration Form (attached), signed by a parent/guardian.
  2. Driver's License and Vehicle Registration. Copies may be made at the time of registration if needed. Students must possess a valid driver's license. Students with only a learner's permit are not eligible for a parking permit.
  3. $15 Registration Fee (cash or check). Checks should be made payable to Norwalk High School with "Parking" written in the memo line.

The registration fee is non-refundable. Proceeds will help offset parking-related expenses, with remaining funds supporting the Senior Class Fund.

Important Information

Please review the following carefully:

  • Students who parked at Andrews Field last year will be assigned a new parking space. Previous permits and space assignments are no longer valid.
  • Andrews Field is located on County Street, behind the shopping center, and is a short walk from Norwalk High School.
  • Only seniors who have been issued a 2026–2027 Andrews Field parking permit may park there beginning on the first day of school, August 26, 2026. No exceptions will be made.
  • Failure to follow the parking rules outlined in the registration form may result in the suspension or revocation of parking privileges.
  • Our Security Team will actively monitor student parking throughout the school year. Students may not park at Nathan Hale Middle School, Naramake Elementary School, or any neighboring private properties.

If you have any questions regarding student parking, please contact:

  • Mr. Joseph Migliaro – migliaroj@norwalkps.org
  • Dr. Dan Sullivan – sullivand@norwalkps.org
