The Norwalk High School Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) program offers students a unique opportunity to explore aerospace science, leadership, and life skills while preparing for success in college, careers, and beyond. Through engaging courses and hands-on experiences, students build a foundation of discipline, teamwork, and citizenship.

Students in the AFJROTC program also have opportunities to participate in community service, team-building activities, and leadership development events. Through these experiences, cadets build confidence, character, and the skills to become leaders in their schools and communities.

AFJROTC course offerings:

  • Aerospace Science 1: Miles in Aviation and Foundations of Citizenship – Explore the history of aviation and develop an understanding of civic responsibilities
  • Aerospace Science 2: The Science of Flight; Principles of Management – Learn the principles of flight and gain practical knowledge in leadership and management
  • Aerospace Science 3: Cultural Studies; Life Skills – Study global cultures while developing essential skills for personal and professional growth.
  • Aerospace Science 4: Exploring Space; Communications, Awareness, and Leadership – Dive into space exploration and enhance leadership, communication, and critical thinking abilities.
