Digital Media & Communications Academy

Tell your stories through multimedia experiences.
The Norwalk High School Digital Media & Communications Academy (DMCA) provides students with hands-on experiences that will enable them to enter college or a career with a knowledge of industry standards and a mastery of storytelling.
DMCA students produce content through multiple mediums, working side-by-side with Norwalk High School teachers and professional partners who are experts in their fields. Students learn how to be creative, conduct research and tell their story using the Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Audition, Illustrator and InDesign.
Through a partnership with Quinnipiac University, students have the opportunity to earn college credits for specific courses. Students enrolled in the DMCA program can complete film production, audio design, podcasting and digital communications courses for three credits each. Financial aid may be available.
In addition to working with local professionals in the field, DMCA students are active storytellers within the school community helping to create content for Bear Country News, Bear Country Sports Network and The NHS Bears Den.
