School Counselors

School Counselors are certified educators who work to maximize student success.

The School Counseling Department is designed to provide comprehensive guidance and counseling services, responding to the developmental needs of high school students in the areas of social growth, academic performance, and post-secondary planning. Each year individual student success plans are assigned to achieve their goals.

School counselors are complementary to the administrative, teaching, and support staffs of the school. The collaboration and mutual support of these groups is essential to the implementation of school counseling objectives. The department is committed to providing each student with continuity in the relationship to one counselor throughout high school.

Naviance is utilized by the students for college and career interests. Students are encouraged to meet with their school counselor as their schedule permits, and parents by appointment. Academic support is available to students in the resource centers during their study hall periods.
